Whiskey Ridge Productions came to be as a result of the proliferation of cordless tools, primarily the cordless screwdriver. I was given one for Christmas 15-yrs ago and immediately had the notion that it could do a handy job of re-stringing my guitars if equipped with a socket that fit over the tuning pegs. A couple hours of shop-time turned a small blob of nylon into a crude, but effective prototype that did the re-string on my Guild 12-string effortlessly, and in about 15 minutes!

Was I stoked? You bet. I dubbed the thing a Zap-It Stringwinder and shortly after it's debut, added the Zap-It Drumkey, which does the job of changing heads in short order. WRP has sold almost 150,000 Zap-It Stringwinders and about 75,000 Zap-It Drumkeys to date, and Zap-It Stringwinder is a "Hot 100" accessory for guitar, chosen by Guitar Player Magazine!
